Lumi vs Vivid

Check support for your exact display before choosing a brightness app.

Lumi’s beta scope

Lumi offers a native menu bar slider, estimated nit targets and the Mac’s usual brightness keys. Testing currently covers one 14-inch M2 Pro MacBook Pro on macOS 27.0.1. External displays are not controlled; OLED and other models remain unverified.

Check Vivid directly

Read Vivid’s own documentation for its current supported displays, features, trial terms and price. This page does not claim feature parity or rank the two apps.

The notarized beta includes free Half-Screen Mode. It enhances the left half and uses an approximate comparison on the right; it is not a calibrated SDR or nit comparison.
