How to Make Your Mac Screen Brighter
Check the Mac’s native brightness controls and display settings first.
Check the settings
Automatic brightness, Low Power Mode and reference modes can affect the available range. Change only the settings that suit your current work.
Use Lumi’s beta on tested hardware
Lumi adds a menu bar slider with estimated nit targets and keeps the Mac’s normal brightness keys and indicator. The tested M2 Pro profile has a 1,600-nit peak target; that is not a guarantee of full-screen output.
Know the current limits
The beta controls built-in panels only. OLED and other hardware still need physical validation. See the installation and support notes before trying it.
Your MacBook Pro. Brighter.
A native brightness beta for the built-in XDR display. Nits are estimated targets; other hardware still needs testing.
