Support

How can we help?

Lumi is currently a beta. Contact support@lumiformac.com for help; support routing still needs an end-to-end delivery check before public launch.

Beta download and setup

The free beta is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Half-Screen Mode enhances the left half and provides an approximate comparison on the right, not a calibrated SDR or nit comparison. A license enables the full display; live purchases are not open yet.

Download the beta, unzip it, move Lumi.app to Applications, then open it and use the sun in the menu bar. Lumi starts off. Check the model and macOS test scope before enabling it.

Current compatibility

Testing covers one 14-inch M2 Pro MacBook Pro on macOS 27.0.1. Other built-in XDR panels, including OLED, remain unverified. Lumi does not control external displays.

Brightness and restoration

Nit values are estimated targets. Output can vary with content, power, temperature and display settings. Turning Lumi off from the extended range returns to maximum system brightness; Restore and normal Quit return to the previous brightness.

Force Quit or a crash cannot run normal restoration. Recovery behavior needs further validation. Avoid using the beta for color-critical work or alongside another app that changes display calibration.

Report an issue

Include your Mac model, macOS version and what happened. Lumi Settings → Display offers Export diagnostics. Review that file before sharing it.

License help

Live purchases are not open yet. Keep any test license key shown after a test checkout. Email delivery is shown separately and is not assumed to have succeeded.

Multiple Macs

Planned licenses are €5 for 2 Macs, €20 for 5 and €50 for 10, with no subscription. Contact us about a larger deployment after the licensed beta is validated.
