Brightness settings stay on your Mac. Purchases and license activation use the data described below.

Local app settings

Lumi stores brightness preferences and its estimated display profile locally. The current beta does not send display brightness settings to the website.

License activation

Activation sends your license key, a stable device identifier and the generic name “Mac” to the license service. The device identifier is a SHA-256 hash of the Mac’s hardware UUID. The raw hardware UUID stays on your Mac. The service stores activation records to enforce the license’s Mac limit and lets you deactivate a Mac.

The app checks activation online to renew offline access and apply refunds or deactivation. License activation is being tested before public release. Live purchases are not open yet.

Purchases and email

Stripe handles checkout and payment details. The license service stores the purchaser’s email address and name when provided, license tier, checkout/payment identifiers, purchase time, activation records, and refund or dispute status. It also records license email status and delivery attempts. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored in Lumi’s license database.

License email uses Cloudflare’s email service when configured. An accepted send request is not a guarantee that the message reached your inbox.

This website and support

The site does not include advertising trackers. Hosting and API requests may produce operational or security logs with request metadata such as an IP address. An email to support contains the address, message and any files you choose to share.

Retention and account-data removal procedures are being finalized before live sales. To ask about your information, contact support@lumiformac.com.
